Photos on CalUp Planner & the CalUp Wedding Guest App
Your wedding day, one of the most celebrated days in your life, marks the beginning of a new chapter. The importance of this day is reflected in the extensive planning and preparations that go into making it a special and memorable event, that creates a unique and meaningful experience for the couple and their guests. So, we're sure you'll want to capture as many moments as possible.
When we added photo sharing to CalUp Planner and the CalUp Wedding Guest App, we assumed that the primary benefit would be wedding guests being able to quickly upload photos from the various wedding events and activities they attend, so that they can be shared with the couple and other event attendees easily.
As more weddings and events are hosted using CalUp Planner and the CalUp Wedding Guest App, we’ve come across many new use cases that we wanted to share with you all, and potentially provide some inspiration as to how you could collect more photos.
Creative Uses of Photos on CalUp
Collecting Photos of the Couple When They Were Younger
Couples send out a Virtual Wedding Preview event on CalUp in the months leading up to the wedding and prompt their wedding guests to share any photos of the couple they think are special. As guests upload photos the CalUp Planner Administrator can easily view and download the photos for uses such as slide shows, photo boards, or printed albums that can be shared with guests on the wedding day.
Getting Excited for a Destination Wedding
Planners can collect photos of the resort, resort sites, and resort activities to share with Invitees in a “Wedding - Get Ready” event on CalUp. The visuals help guests get excited about the upcoming wedding and what they can do and see during their visit.
Private Sharing
It should be noted that all photo sharing in CalUp is private and restricted to the invitees of a given event. For example, if the participants of Hair and Makeup are sharing photos, only the Hair and Makeup invitees (and the CalUp Planner Administrator) can view those photos.
Post Wedding Album & Thank You
After the conclusion of the wedding, the CalUp Planner Administrator can review the photos taken across all events and download the favorites. That selection of favorites can then be shared back with a virtual “Thank You for Coming” event on CalUp to all the attendees - this is a great way to wrap everything up and thank everyone for coming.
Managing the Photo Gallery on CalUp Planner
As a CalUp Planner Administrator, you have full ability to view & manage shared photos across all events. Photos that are deemed inappropriate can be easily deleted, photos can be opened on zoom mode for close inspection, and all photos can be downloaded and used for an album, a re-share to guests, or any other purpose.
